The Sumner House, Inc. is located in Shrewsbury's Town Center next to the Town Common.  Serving as the second minister of the First Congregational Church for sixty-two years, Reverend Joseph Sumner commissioned the building of the original house in 1797.  Despite three early additions, this Federal Colonial home retains its pristine flavor reminiscent of days long gone.
